Working in the NFL has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. So, in April 2023, I started as a Video Production Intern for the Houston Texans. Throughout my first season, I grew as a creative videographer. I learned how to push the boundaries of visual storytelling through sound design, color grading, and respecting each piece's narrative and emotional intention.
This is a collection of some of my favorite projects, which I had the pleasure of working on with the Texans video team. With these projects, I was one of the shooters and the primary editor. The videos below include a football story on star QB C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans Walter Payton Man of the Year Nominee Jon Weeks, and the 2023 Media Day BTS feature.
BRAD WILSON & ROLAND RAMIREZ FEATURE - Brad Wilson and Roland Ramirez are two medical professionals who keep the Houston Texans' players safe. On the night before a game with the Tennesee Titans during the 2022 season, Roland leaped into action to save Brad’s life.
C.J. STROUD: MY STORY, MY GAME - This feature covers the life of Houston Texans starting quarterback C.J. Stroud, from his high school football days to throwing touchdown passes in the NFL.
TEXANS VS BROWNS WILDCARD CINEMATIC RECAP - During the 2023-2024 Wild Card Round, the Houston Texans hosted the upstart and favored Cleveland Browns at NRG Stadium. The Texans went on to defeat the Browns in a 45-14 thrilling victory to advance to the AFC Divisional Round.
WILD CARD T.V. PROMO - A television commercial showcasing the upcoming Wild Card match between the Texans and Cleveland Browns.
TEXANS CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC RECAP - A short community recap of the Houston Texans’ 20th annual Charity Golf Classic. The event had current players, coaches, and front-office members having a fun day out of the golf course.
2023 MEDIA DAY FEATURE- I filmed and edited a feature covering the Houston Texans Media Day. The viewer gets a behind-the-scenes look at the epic main set from the initial idea board to the final execution. This feature captures how professional team media days are often fun, chaotic, and player-centric.
DALTON SCHULTZ: MY STORY, MY GAME - A feature covering the life of new Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz. In this feature, Dalton covers his start in sports from a young age to his rise to being one of the most reliable tight ends in the NFL.
JON WEEKS 2023 WALTER PAYTON MAN OF THE YEAR FEATURE - Long Snapper Jon Weeks is the team’s 2023 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award nominee. This award is meant for NFL players who have exhibited excellence on the field and whose passion to impact lives extends beyond the game and has led them to leave positive legacies in their community.
JALEN PITRE MIC’D UP - During the 2023 Training Camp, the Houston Texans' star safety, Jalen Pitre, made his presence known on the practice field with his electric personality and dedication to being one of the top safeties in the NFL.
XAVIER HUTCHINSON: MY STORY, MY GAME - A feature covering the life of Texans rookie wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson and his journey from being a star wide receiver in high school and at Iowa State to catching passes in the NFL.
